Isabell, once a promising competitive swimmer, has turned her back on the world that shaped her. Tired of discipline, expectation, and the relentless pursuit of perfection, she chooses a quieter life and begins teaching children to swim.
Then, almost by chance, the past resurfaces. Isabell encounters a childhood friend she has long left behind. Around the same time, she meets Domenik, an architect whose presence opens up the possibility of a different life. Pulled between old memories and new desires, between who she was and who she might become, Isabell slowly loses her sense of direction.
During one of her swimming lessons, an unexpected accident shatters the fragile balance. What follows is less an attempt to understand what happened than a struggle to live with it. As guilt, memory, and silence begin to seep into their relationships, each of them is forced to confront something they would rather leave beneath the surface.
A quiet film about freedom, responsibility, and the impossibility of simply leaving the past behind.
